Our Programs

Pre-school

Known as the “plastic” stage during normal brain development, these early years are a crucial time to prime the brain for optimal functioning and learning. Our preschool programs target the essential cognitive skills required for effective learning to take place and prepares little ones for the basic principles of fluent reading and comprehension.

Build the Best Foundation for School Success with our neuroscience-based early cognitive training, Kiko's Thinking Time.

Kiko's Thinking Time is a tablet and computer-based program developed by Harvard and UC Berkeley neuroscientists that aims to train cognitive skills necessary for school readiness.

These critical early cognitive skills lay the foundations for early literacy and math acquisition.

Children with strong working memory, inhibition and attentional skills have been found to make larger gains on tests of early math, language and literacy development – Harvard University

The targeted skills include:

Parents follow along their children's personalised journey

Parents, teachers and caregivers get access to an in-app metrics dashboard where they can follow their children's progress in each skill area. In addition, they can use our comprehensive web-based portal with more details on these skills and how they can be taught.

Our Fast ForWord Reading Readiness program is designed for early literacy skills and familiarises the preschool student with print, building essential pre-reading skills:

Based on research of how the brain learns, our programs use exclusive patented technology to help students build cognitive skills in the context of essential pre-reading skills.

Research looking at neuroscience and education emphasise the importance of building robust cognitive skills in order to prime the brain for learning. Our multi-tiered approach to overall brain health and performance focus on laying the cognitive foundation first, then building on language and literacy skills. These are required for effective learning, reading, and comprehension. Finally, we address social and emotional skills if this may be a problem area.

1. Primary School

Primary School students are assessed to ensure the appropriate programes are assigned in terms of their profile of strengths and weaknesses.

Wiring the Brain for Academic Gain

Our Fast ForWord Language program applies discoveries of neuroscience to build critical cognitive skills that prime the brain for effective learning to take place. It develops the fundamental language skills that are building blocks for listening, speaking and reading success. For struggling learners, these modules also address the auditory processing skills required to discern language and for effective learning to take place.

Integral to these programes is our patented technology which uses acoustically modified speech and sophisticated adaption techniques. These allow for rapid development of a student's ability to distinguish sound quickly enough to discriminate their difference.

Which skills are being trained??

How does it work?

The exercises are disguised in the form of computer games with reward systems, top scores, and great animation. Students can train in the comfort of their homes on an i-pad, laptop or computer. The real-time feedback system allows our team of health and educational professionals to monitor as and when students work. The system adapts to each student's unique profile of strengths and difficulties, targeting their weaker areas through a personalised approach.

How do we track performance?

Our online data analysis and reporting tools enable us to monitor individual performance; customize instruction, and motivate students. Graphical depictions show usage, performance, reading level trends, and student proficiency levels.

It's one of the reasons why our learning acceleration programes have been so successful in helping students and schools succeed.

Reading is a demanding activity calling for many specific events to take place simultaneously in the brain. Our Fast ForWord reading series is an intervention solution that increases processing efficiency and builds critical reading skills.

Our Reading Assistant programe acts as a patient, non-judgmental listener that provides support to all students as they improve their English oral reading skills, essential for English language proficiency. Advanced speech verification technology with scientifically-based interventions help students strengthen their reading fluency, vocabulary and comprehension.

Reading Assistant is the only academic software program that listens to students as they read out loud, intervenes when students falter, and automatically scores students oral reading. No other program provides comparablereal-time guidance and feedback.

Each collection contains highly-illustrated selections grouped in topical clusters, many with a science or social studies theme. This organisation helps students build a body of knowledge and also read common vocabulary in different contexts.

The software maintains careful performance records and the corresponding audio of each reading session for review by student and teacher. The program computes the students Words Correct Per Minute automatically.

“There have been great strides in the field of neuroscience and education in the past few decades. I am very blessed to be involved in this field and cherish the opportunity to be able to work with students of all ages, ranging in abilities. I wholeheartedly believe that this is the future of learning and education. To date I have not come across any neuroscientific program that offers the range of cognitive intervention that Fast ForWord does and has the scientific evidence to support the efficacy of the programs. “
